Marquise Bostic lays her head against her brother, Bobby Bostic, on Wednesday, Nov. 9, 2022 at the Missouri State Capitol in Jefferson City. Bostic was released from prison after having applied and granted parole from his orginal 241-sentence. Bostic was sentenced to the “de facto life sentence” in 1995 at age 16 after committing a series of non-homicide offenses. Marquise spoke at the event and said that Bobby's going away hurt more than just the victims, it hurt their family too.

Laird said that he has always been against the death penalty. Laird added that McLaughlin's case is especially bizarre as the jury did not unanimously vote for the death penalty.

Annie Ledbetter, 4, eagerly awaits for her favorite princesses to come onstage during 'A Princess Party' on Saturday, Nov. 19, 2022 at the First United Methodist Church in Jefferson City. Princess volunteers spent their Saturday signing autographs and taking photos with little princesses. At the end of the event, princesses went onstage to sing one of their signature songs.

Liam Stapp, 9, walks with a discarded pole on Thursday, Oct. 6, 2022 at Route C in Jefferson City. Stapp and his two brothers participated in the Stringtown-Corinth 4-H trash pickup of Route C. Clearing the strip of land on Route C is a regular service event for the 4-H club.
